Employment Opportunities
ONGC offers various executive-level positions, with salary scales and annual emoluments as follows:
- Executive Level One (Assistant Executive Engineer / P&A Officer / Geologist / Geophysicist, etc.): Rs. 12,000-17,500/- with annual emoluments of approximately Rs. 2,50,000.
- Executive Level Four (Superintending Engineer / Manager / Superintendent Geologist / Superintendent Geophysicist, etc.): Rs. 17,500-22,300/- with annual emoluments of approximately Rs. 3,75,000.
- Executive Level Seven (General Manager): Rs. 20,500-26,500/- with annual emoluments of approximately Rs. 4,50,000.
Recruitment Process
ONGC advertises vacancies in newspapers and online. Applications are accepted only in response to specific advertisements. Candidates in their final year of qualifying degrees can apply, provided they meet the qualifications by the interview date. The age limits are 30 years for General category, 33 years for OBC, and 35 years for SC/ST candidates.
The selection process includes a written test (objective type) covering general knowledge and the candidate’s specialization. Final selection is based on written test performance and a personal interview.
How to Apply
Candidates must apply using prescribed forms available at specified State Bank of India branches for Rs. 100/- (General & OBC) or Rs. 20/- (SC/ST). Applications from public sector or government employees require a No Objection Certificate at the interview.
